At Sky Point Crane, the safety, health and protection of the environment are core principles that our company is committed to for our customers and our employees. It starts with our pre-employment screening and our DOT/FMCSA drug testing program for all of our new hires including random drug screening. We then require that our staff completes an extensive safety training program during their new hire orientation and then ongoing training.
- All of our crane operators are NCCCO certified and possess state crane licenses in the states that we operate in (PA, WV, OH)
- CDL and DOT qualified drug testing program in place, including ongoing random drug testing
- Rigger and Flagger/Signal Person certification
- OSHA 30-Hour Training in Construction Safety and Health
- SafeLand USA trained
- Safety Engineer on staff
- Annual OSHA inspected and certified cranes
- Ongoing and annual rigging inspection
- 3D Lift Plans including lift consultation, pre-site visits, rigging requirements, project management
- Job Safety Analysis (JSA) / Pre-lift checklists / Critical Lift standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
- State of the art rigging equipment from Amick Associates, Mazzella and Lifting Gear for Hire, including rigging consultation with experts from the manufacturers.
Sky Point Crane strives to maintain a completely safe work environment. All employees are equipped with standard safety gear in addition to our corporate safety manual, and standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and job safety checklists, up to date load charts, sling rating charts and the latest in 3D Lift Planning technologies to assess the safety and security of every job site.
Our highly experienced operators along with our degreed safety engineer are always available to ensure all safety precautions and protocol are being met throughout every job.

- Implemented oil analysis across our fleet to extend the time between oil changes and reducing the amount of waste motor oil generated
- Ongoing safety inspections of our fleet to insure hoses and equipment are in good condition to prevent leaks and spills.
