3D Crane Lift planning

Planning a lift can be a difficult challenge for any crew. The safety of your employees and the public is the top priority. That’s why we offer trained and qualified professional to take any guess work out of the operation.

Sky Point Crane utilizes online 3D lift planning applications to map out the operations. This allows us, and you to see the results in a simulated space before even touching ground on-site.

How it Works

Step 1 - Gathering Information

The first step to any successful 3D lift plan is to have one of our dedicated team members walk through the job site in person or contact you to get all necessary lift information. From there, one of our certified Sky Point Crane team members will input the weight and dimensions of the lift item, including any obstructions and the job location into our application.

Step 2 - 3D Rendering and Crane Selection

With that information input into the system, we get a detailed simulated view of the job site that includes buildings, landscaping, roads and any other objects on site that are critical to the lift. We then search for the best crane to utilize given the lift objectives and guidelines that is the best fit for the job. You won’t ever get a crane that is too big or expensive on a site when we can use one that costs less and performs that job equally well.

Step 3 - Rigging

Once that is complete, our team puts together a plan for your rigging operations. We develop a rigging plan that includes all rigging components. Then, we insert them into the 3D sketch to accurately portray the setup on your job site.

Step 4 - Comprehensive Plan

The final step of the 3D lift plan puts us into action to write a detailed outline of the lift operations. This includes any additional context and details such as wind restrictions, required load chart deductions and other details that provide clarity to the lift. Items such as ground bearing pressures, specialized support requirements and other items get included here. After that, you’re ready to go with a safe and well thought out plan to execute on your job site.
